Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are one of the most commonly prescribed pain medications. It is a highly effective drug class for pain and inflammation. The analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties act by inhibiting two recognized isoenzymes of prostaglandin G/H synthase also known as cycloxygenase (COX), which are COX 1 and COX 2.
